Sixth Form Leadership Team
The leadership team are a group of students who represent the school and student community and are a key link between students and teachers. Along with their official roles, each student also undertakes an individual project to initiate positive change across the school and in the wider community. Students work towards improving mental health provision, diversity, promoting the Sixth Form, running social events, speaking at school events, mentoring across the school and creating supportive links between the school and local community.
Sixth Form Leadership Team 2025 – 2026
Theo Jenkins – Teaching and Learning Lead

Hi, my name is Theo, and I am the lead for Teaching and Learning. I am currently studying Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics; having studied at Ormiston Rivers Academy since Year 7. I’ve found Sixth Form to be incredibly rewarding, giving us a lot of independence and responsibility for our own education, yet also providing a lot of support along the way when needed. The Sixth Form has a strong sense of community from both the student body and the teaching staff; it can be difficult at times but that makes the success even more worth it. I couldn’t think of a better place to help me achieve my goal of studying Mathematics at the University of Cambridge.
Hannae Heel – Events & Social Media Lead

Hello, my name is Hannae and I am on the sixth form leadership team as the events and social media lead. I have been at Ormiston Rivers Academy for the whole duration of my education and have thoroughly enjoyed my time over the years. I am currently studying Psychology, Health and Social Care, Dance and Extended Project in Rivers Sixth Form. All in which support my journey in attending university and succeeding as a registered nurse. The Sixth Form team offer many opportunities with extracurricular activities, encouraging me to purse my hobbies in the performing arts, whilst also guiding me on my path to my future career. Overall, I look forward to making a positive impact within my role and support all year groups with social and academic events.
Stanley Alwinkle – Environment and Study Area Lead

Hi, my name is Stanley and I’m studying A level mathematics, further mathematics, physics, and a T level degree in engineering. I’ve been at rivers since year 7 and chose to stay for sixth form because it’s such an amazing place to learn and socialise. I am hoping to continue my education at Exeter or Southampton University where I plan to complete a degree in Economics or Architecture. As my role as Environment and Study Area Lead, I intend to help improve both the sixth form open room and the private study rooms, while also increasing the opportunities for students of all years to get more involvement in environmental activities and clubs. I’m excited to take on the role and help create a positive influence on the Sixth Form and the school as a whole.
Evie Durrant – Wellbeing Lead

Hi, I’m Evie and I’m the new lead for Wellbeing at Rivers Sixth Form. I am currently studying Maths, Chemistry and Physics here at rivers and am hoping to go to University for Natural Sciences and eventually I am aiming to work in the field of chemistry. I have already extremely enjoyed my 5 years at Ormiston and am looking forward to spending my last year making a difference to our school community both in sixth form and lower school. Sixth form has really enabled me to develop key life skills whilst still feeling thoroughly supported by my teachers and I want to give back to the school in any ways I can. Sixth form has also helped me grow a strong relationship with my teachers and allowed me to get the most out of my years at school not only helping me achieve my goals academically but also allowed me to feel part of a community. I am extremely grateful to have this opportunity to work with the amazing individuals in the sixth form leadership team and Miss Wilkins and Miss Penberthy and am looking forward to collaborating with them for the next year.

Being a part of the Sixth Form has been incredibly rewarding experience, both academically and personally. The support I have received from the Sixth Form team has been exceptional, helping me to excel in both my education and personal development. Sixth Form has challenged me to grow in independence, develop leadership skills and prepare me for my future working life. I have particularly enjoyed working alongside the other members of the Sixth Form Leadership Team, Miss Wilkins and Miss Penberthy on tasks related to my role as a lead. I look forward to continuing this work in the next year, aiming to make a positive impact on the Sixth Form and across the lower school.
