Enrichment opportunities form an important part of the provision that we offer to our students, and allows students to develop their skills and knowledge of areas in which they have particular interest or aspirations, as well as developing key transferable skills such as teamwork and communication skills. We run a vast range of trips, visits and experiences for our young people as well as a range of enrichment opportunities and extra curricular clubs, to ensure that we develop our young people both academically but also as a whole person.

Ormiston Rivers Academy is proud of the wide range of enrichment and co-curricular opportunities we provide our students. Our enrichment programme is designed to provide our young people with the opportunity to develop their passions, develop new skills, enhance their existing skills and widen their experience of the wider world, whilst enjoying themselves. We want our students to engage with the very best our world has to offer and to support them in developing into resilient, respectful, independent young adults ready to embark on their next journey. Our provision aims to develop their aspirations and offer them a chance to partake in different experiences that allow them to find and develop their interests.

The enrichment programme available to our students is regularly informed by student feedback and suggestions, to ensure it meets the needs of our community. From extra-curricular clubs such as Debate club, School Choir, Computing club, Cooking club and Football club to name a few, to House competitions and charity days, and Trips and visits including the Ski trip, Climbing Mount Snowdon and overseas field trips, we aim to ensure there is an opportunity that appeals to every student.
