Partnership Working at Ormiston Rivers Academy

We take great pride in our extensive network of partners, covering all key areas; business, education, community and culture on a local and national level. Each of our partnerships contribute to and enrich our curriculum offer for students and form an integral part of our unique and inspiring learning environment. 

These collaborative partnerships enrich our curriculum offer and provide students with unique opportunities which support and enhance their learning including trips, motivational speakers, visits and mentoring. Above all, the partnership activities broaden our students’ horizons, taking their learning beyond the classroom and providing unique insights into the world of work. 

In the past year, we have started to develop partnerships with Anglia Ruskin University, Department of Work and Pensions, Aim Apprenticeships, Connexions Careers Advice, University of Hertfordshire, Cambridge and Oxford University Outreach Teams, Morgan Sindall Construction, NCS, along with many of our members of the local community, our parents and Alumni students who have delivered careers talks to our students this year and attended our annual careers fair in March. 

This year we have become members of the Essex Chambers of Commerce and hope to make many more partnerships we can work with.
